Driving without valid drivers license or vehicle class/type – Donna L. Johnson, 44, of Fairmont; fined $180.
Underage alcohol consumption – Samantha J. Hilpipre, 20, of Fairmont; fined $180.
Driving after suspension – Taylor M. Spence, 24, of Winnebago; fined $280.
Jose E. Perales, 18, of Mankato was convicted of failure of driver to carry proof of insurance when operating a vehicle; fined $300. Also convicted of failure to obtain new drivers license after changing name or address; fined $300.
Kenneth R. Svoboda, 45, of Fairmont was convicted of driving while under the influence of alcohol; fined $1,105.00, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 275 days for two years, defendant to serve 60 days in jail and court will review last 30 days to see of he can serve electronic home monitoring or balance of sentence in jail, two years supervised probation, follow all conditions set forth in the probation agreement, no alcohol/controlled substance use, random testing, no new arrests, complete chemical assessment, follow recommendations of evaluation, attend MADD impact panel, get valid drivers license, participate in ignition interlock program. Additional charge of driving while impaired was dismissed.
Audrey R. Compton, 28, of Trimont was convicted of failure to obtain new drivers license after changing name or address; fined $100. Additional charges of failure of driver to carry proof of insurance when operating a vehicle, and muffler required on vehicle were both dismissed.
Luis J.C. Diaz, 36, of Fairmont was convicted of driving without a valid license for vehicle class/type; fined $500, sentenced to jail 37 days, credit for time served 37 days, concurrent with another case. Also convicted of reckless driving-drives with wanton disregard for safety; fined $280, sentenced to jail 37 days, credit for time served 37 days. A felony charge of fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, and a misdemeanor charge of failure of driver to carry proof of insurance when operating a vehicle were both dismissed.
