School registration held in coming days

TRUMAN – Welcome to Mr. Mark Nass as the new principal at Truman Public School. He comes to Truman from Windom. He believes in rural education and knows it is a quality education.

St. Paul’s Lutheran School registration will be tonight. For students with last names L-Z, it will be 6-7 p.m., and for students with last names A-K, it will be 7:30-8:30 p.m.

There also will be a back-to-school picnic from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Parents are asked to bring completed registration forms, hot lunch monies, and book and tuition fees.

Friday is the last day to turn in your coloring contest entries to the Truman Tribune. It is open to all ages.

Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman is sponsoring a one-day Vacation Bible School for children ages preschool through sixth grade, on Sunday. It will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m.

The day will include lunch, singing, games, learning about the Bible and fellowship.

Pre-registration is appreciated. To register your child, call the church office at (507) 776-4781.

There is no cost to attend. All community children are welcome.

Truman Public School student registration for 2014-2015 can be done from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the high school office.

An open house for high school students and their parents will be held 3-6 p.m. Wednesday.

Grade school children’s parents are asked to schedule a back-to-school conference Sept. 2 or 3. To schedule a time for your conference or have questions answered, call (507) 776-2111.
