MCHS announces cat adoptions

Martin County Humane Society will offer free cat adoptions during the month of August at their shelter, 522 E. Margaret St., Fairmont. All cats at the shelter that are eligible for adoption are six months or older. There is a small application process. (no same day adoptions are possible). If you are interested and can provide a good home for any of the cats, please come down to the shelter or call (507) 238-1885.

Exchange Club to meet

Fairmont Exchange Club will meet noon Tuesday at the Green Mill Restaurant, Fairmont. The program will feature Doug Peterson of the musical group, Heartsong. Valley Vue schedules community events

Valley Vue Care Center of Armstrong will host two free blood pressure and blood glucose clinics this upcoming week. First, there will be a clinic from 8-9 a.m. Wednesday at the Chatterbox Cafe in Lone Rock, Iowa. They will also hold a clinic from 8-9 a.m. Friday at the Armstrong Senior Center in Armstrong.
