DELAVAN – Kenneth Marvin Claude, age 65, of Delavan, died Friday, August 1, 2014, at The United Hospital of Blue Earth, Minnesota. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Bethel Evangelical Free Church in Fairmont. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 5, from 4-8 p.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church in Fairmont. Pastor Scott Dewitt will officiate and burial will take place in Rice Lake Cemetery of Delavan. Please see to leave online condolences. Kenneth was born April 26, 1949, at the Blue Earth Hospital, the son of Marvin and Annabelle Claude. He attended and was a graduate of Delavan High School in 1967. He enlisted in the Navy during high school.

He married Cheryl Prescher of Delavan July 21, 1968, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Blue Earth. They lived in Los Alamitos and Anaheim, California 3 and a half years before returning to Delavan and began farming. He also did upholstery and made hangers for quilted wall hangings. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.

Kenneth was a member of the Bethel Evangelical Free Church in Fairmont, Minnesota, where he held different offices and he enjoyed making coffee for the congregation.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; and daughters, Angela (Jason) Sippel of Rock Rapids, Iowa, Tara (Ryan) Viaene of Cottonwood, Minnesota, and Barbara (Matt) Crozier of Loveland, Colorado; four grandchildren, JC Sippel, Parker and Paige Viaene, and Carter Crozier; sisters-in-law, Gayle Claude of Mankato, Minnesota, Sharon Claude of Rochester, Minnesota, Lynn Cole of Burnsville, Minnesota; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Ruth Prescher of Delavan; step-brother, Bruce Nelson and wife Donna, of Pine City, Minnesota; and his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father; brothers, Danny and Larry Claude; and sister-in-law, Norita Claude.
