Red Rock to hold Tuesday class
The last story time art class will be held Tuesday at the Red Rock Center for the Arts, Fairmont. Think of a tale and let your imagination go from there. Class times for grades K-2 will be 11 a.m. to noon, while grades 3-7 will be from 1-2:30 p.m. There will be a charge. To register or if you have any questions, call the CER office at (507) 235-3141.
Red Cross blood drive planned this week
There will be blood donation opportunities this week in Watonwan County. They will hold a blood drive from 1-7 p.m. Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to noon Friday at First Presbyterian Church, 706 Third Ave., in St. James. The Red Cross urges eligible donors to give and help prevent a summer blood shortage. Blood donors with types O negative, B negative, and A negative are especially needed. Heritage Acres sets Thursday meeting
Heritage Acres will have their monthly meeting 6 p.m. Thursday in the Prairieville building at Heritage Acres, Fairmont. A light supper will be served before the meeting. Musical entertainment will be by George Pierce and Andy Landsteiner. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Bridal shower slated this Saturday
An open house bridal shower for Nikki Sandberg, daughter of Brian and Joanna Sandberg and bride-to-be of Greg Hanson, son of Gary and Linda Hanson, will be held 9-11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome.
Jessica Fleming, Jacob Larson, and Rachel Parsley, all of Fairmont, recently graduated and were awarded graduate degrees on May 17, 2014, from the University of Northwestern-St. Paul.
