Fairmont U19 team tallies two wins, tie

FAIRMONT – The Fairmont U19 Co-ed soccer lineup generated two victories and a tie during recent summer recreational action at Kot Soccer Complex in Fairmont.

Brock Johnson produced a hat trick to power Fairmont to a 6-1 triumph over Le Sueur on July 10.

Grant Becker delivered one goal and an assist to the winning effort, while Sierra Schrader and Lexi Johnson each distributed two assists. Matt Tennyson and Ben Mitchell each notched a goal.

Trason Arens, Jesse Koskovich, Tennyson and Jesse Stougaard combined to handle the goaltending duties for Fairmont.

Grant Becker erupted for three goals and an assist to help steer Fairmont to a 10-4 rout over Marshall on July 9.

Quincy Quiring and Peter Nielsen each supplied two goals and one assist for Fairmont, while Trason Arens contributed two goals. Lexi Johnson chipped in a goal, while Tennyson, Katie Nicoson, Marisa Nelson and Brock Johnson added assists.

Koskovich, Tennyson and Arens combined on the netminding duties.

Becker netted two goals and an assist to help Fairmont earn a 3-all tie with Le Sueur on June 27.

Brock Johnson delivered a goal, while Nielsen chipped in assist in the win.

Arens and Tennyson combined on the goalkeeping duties.

U16 Girls

Prior Lake 5, Kramer, Nielsen, PA of Fairmont 0 – Prior Lake posted a 5-0 victory over Fairmont during the state-qualifying tournament on July 12.

Goalkeeper Brytni Drevlow made 18 saves for Fairmont, which had 12 shots on goal.

U14 Girls

Shakopee 3, Quist Moving and Storage of Fairmont 2 – Shakopee edged Fairmont, 3-2, during the state-qualifying tournament in Shakopee on July 12.

Grace Higgins and Lexi Lunn generated goals for Fairmont, while Abby Dewitt and Maiya Dietz distributed assists.

Mikayla Stradtman tallied five saves for Fairmont, while Hailie Handevidt made six stops.

U12 Girls

Fairmont Bank Midwest White 3, Fairmont Red 2 – Isabelle Lenort delivered the decisive goal to propel Fairmont White to a 3-2 win over Fairmont Red during the state-qualifying tournament in Mankato on July 12.

Lexi Kaufman supplied a goal for Fairmont, while Fairmont goalkeepers Kaylean Thingstad and Ella Nelson combined for five saves.

Waseca 8, Fairmont White 0 – Waseca shut out Fairmont in second-round tournament action in Mankato.

Goalkeepers Nelson and Thingstad combined for 17 saves for Fairmont.
