Exchange Club sets meeting for today

Early Risers to meet Wednesday

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. The program will feature speakers Lynne Burgraff and Julie Leichtnam, wealth advisers at Sweet Financial Services. The public is invited.

MOSS plans to meet Thursday

MOSS will meet Thursday evening at the Holiday Inn, Fairmont. A social will begin at 5:30 p.m. with supper and a meeting planned at 6 p.m.

MCBTYR announces July 4 events

Registration is still open to entries for the Martin County Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Freedom 5K on July 4, at the Fairmont National Guard Armory. Registration is $25; military families of those currently serving participate for free. Registration will start at 8 a.m. The walk, run or bike that will go around Sisseton Lake and finish at the Fairmont Armory will begin at 8:30 a.m. The public is welcome to come to a gourmet pancake breakfast from 8-10 a.m. Donations accepted. Come celebrate our freedoms.

Class of 1951 to lunch

Fairmont High School class of 1951 and spouses will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont.

City Band to hold July 4 concert

Fairmont City Band will perform its fourth summer concert 8 p.m. Friday at Sylvania Park Band Shell in Fairmont. Note: due to this performance, there will be no concert tonight at Sylvania Park. Intermission entertainment will be provided by Blue Earth Town and Country Players. Henry Brown of Fairmont recently graduated and was awarded a bachelor’s degree in economics at Saint John’s University in Collegeville.
