Robert O. Harbo

FAIRMONT – Memorial services for Robert O. Harbo, 81, of Fairmont, Minn., will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 617 S. Rice St., Blue Earth, Minn.

Mr. Harbo died on Friday, May 23, 2014, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Fairmont. Zaharia Family Funeral and Cremation Service of Truman is assisting the family with arrangements.

Robert Oliver Harbo was born Oct. 10, 1932, in Revere, Minn., the son of Marie Elizabeth Klucking and Oliver Tilman Harbo. He graduated from Tracy High School in 1951. In 1954, Robert was united in marriage to Joyclyn Mae Nece. In 1965, he moved his family to Fairmont, where he worked at various garages as service manager. The thing he enjoyed the most was sharing thoughts from the Bible with friends and neighbors, especially Jesus’ words, “For this I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth.” Robert was an active member of the congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses where he served as an Elder for over 50 years.

Robert is survived by his wife, Joyclyn of Fairmont, Minn.; three sons, Michael, Quinn (Lois), and Ross (Tracy); six grandchildren, Dayton, Nicholas, Reid, Allison, Grace and Sarah; two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Sophia; and four sisters, Betty, Beverly, Elsie and Joan.
