FAIRMONT – Funeral services for Donald “Don” Clarence Fellersen, 73, of Fairmont, Minn., will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Burial will be held at Lakeside Cemetery Wednesday afternoon at 6:30 p.m. Donald passed away Saturday morning, April 5, 2014, at his home in Fairmont. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont and will continue one hour prior to the time of service Wednesday at the church. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is in charge of the arrangements.

Donald C. Fellersen was born April 14, 1940, in Fairmont, Minn., to Clarence and Irene (Hughes) Fellersen. He attended school in Fairmont.

Don was employed with Buerkle Buick, Motor Inn, Kelly’s Auto Services and the City of Fairmont where he used his auto body skills. He mowed grass and plowed snow for the city for many years, retiring in 2000. In his retirement, Don worked as a grounds keeper for Lakeside Cemetery.

Don met and married Barbara Boese in 1962 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairmont. They were married for 51 years. Don ran an auto body shop out of his garage when he lived on South Dewey St.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Barbara Fellersen of Fairmont, Minn.; children, Vicki (Mike) Geerdes of Fairmont, Minn., Jacki (Mike) Fette of Albertville, Minn., and Kelly Fellersen of Fairmont, Minn.; grandchildren, Michael, Madison, Taylor, Alayna and Ryan; great-granddaughter, Adalyn; brothers, Owen (Sherri) Fellersen of Fairmont, Minn., Ken (Kathy) Fellersen of Madison, Wis.; and James Fellersen and friend, Ruth Emery of Fairmont, Minn.; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Along with his parents, Clarence and Irene Fellersen, Donald was preceded in death by his sister, Jean; brother-in-law, Richard Boese; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arthur and Frieda Boese and other relatives.

The family requests memorials be given in Donald’s name to various funds at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont and United Hands Hospice.
