Carol ‘Wo-Wo’ Peters

ST. JAMES – Carol “Wo-Wo” Peters, age 74, of St. James, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at her home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James. Burial will be in Rosendale Lutheran Cemetery, Rosendale Township. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Sturm Funeral Home of St. James is in charge of arrangements. Anna Carol “Wo-Wo” Peters was born Aug. 5, 1939, in Watts, Calif., the daughter of Harold and Evelyn (Adams) Bell. She grew up in Torrance, Calif., where she graduated from high school. The family then migrated to the Modesto area. Carol was a homemaker and mother. She was a tremendous cook and loved to bake. Her favorite time of year was Thanksgiving and Christmas. She baked for those holidays beginning in early November. Carol married Dennis Peters on Aug. 26, 1989, in Reno, Nev. They moved to Minnesota in Oct. 1991. Carol loved to garden and tend her flower beds. She loved her family and enjoyed every minute she spent with them. She and Dennis had the dogs Max and Molly to share their home with; Max died in 2012.

Carol is survived by her husband, Dennis Peters of St. James; daughter, Laurie (Ken) Kohn of New Ulm; grandchildren, Matthew (Angela) Saporito of Fort Worth, Texas, and Brody Kohn of New Ulm; nieces and nephews, Randy (Sue) Bell of Modesto, Calif., Harold (Gloria) Bell, III of Modesto, Debbie (Russell) West of Port Orchard, Wash., Charles Bell of Bremington, Wash., Chris (Robin) Bell of Torrance, Calif., Donna (Sean) Barbosa of Torrance, and Shawn Bell of Torrance; many great-nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Faye) Peters of Dunnell, Dale (Debbie) Peters of Gibbon, Arne (Diane) Peters of St. James, and Billy Peters of St. James; mother-in-law, Evelyn Peters of St. James; sister-in-law, Alice (Bert) Schwager of Sherburn. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harold Bell, III, Walter Bell, and Donald Bell; niece, Audie Stark; nephew, Robert Bell; father-in-law, Bill Peters, and sister-in-law, Charlene Bell.
