Cheryl J. Cyphers
FAIRMONT – Funeral services for Cheryl J. Cyphers, 56, of Fairmont, Minn., will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Fairmont with interment in Lakeside Cemetery, Fairmont.
Cheryl passed away Wednesday morning, Nov. 6, 2013, at her home in Fairmont. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont and will continue one hour prior to the services Saturday at the church.
Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is in charge of arrangements.
Cheryl Jean (Prafke) Cyphers was born June 2, 1957, in Fairmont, Minn., the daughter of Merlys and Lenagene (Swanson) Prafke. She attended Fairmont public schools and graduated from Fairmont High School.
Cheryl worked at various places in Fairmont throughout her life. She also worked at Kerry Ingredients in Blue Earth, Minn., as quality control. During her free time, Cheryl was active with military support groups as well as researching the family genealogy and documenting the family tree. She also enjoyed planning holiday get-togethers for the family as well as restoring old furniture and doing yard work. Cheryl most loved spending time with her children and spoiling her grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other children.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Tabitha Jeffries of Mankato, Minn., Aaron Traver of Fairmont, Minn., Helena Zea and her husband, Mike, of Mankato, Minn., and Michalia Cyphers and her special friend, Kyle Freesemann; grandchildren, Samantha and Jaxon Jeffries, and Dalton and Levi Simpson; parents, Merlys and Lenagene Prafke of Fairmont, Minn.; sisters, Pam Olson and her husband, Craig, of Fairmont, Minn., Lori Kutnink and her husband, Mert, of Fairmont, Minn., and Patty Sohn and her husband, Mike, of Blue Earth, Minn.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her grandmother, Viola Swanson; and great niece, Kasey Scheff.
