LEESVILLE, S.C. – Services for Ruth Boyne, 82, of Leesville, S.C., formerly of the Trimont area, were held on Oct. 19, 2013, in Lexington, S.C.
Ruth passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at her home.
Ruth Moore was born Sept. 9, 1931, in Triumph, Minn., daughter of Sidney and Wilma Moore. She was raised by her stepmother Myrtle Moore. She was a graduate of Trimont High School and Mankato State University. She married Phillip Boyne on Aug. 16, 1953. They lived in Michigan and Virginia and retired to Florida and South Carolina. Ruth was a teacher and owned a craft shop. She enjoyed painting, swimming, riding the pontoon on Lake Murray and attending her granddaughters school activities. She was a volunteer at Newbury Opera House and a member of book clubs.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Phillip Boyne of Leesville, S.C.; daughter, Loraine (Robert) Flick of McClean, Va.; son, Tim (Bonnie) Boyne of Berkley Springs, W. Va.; two granddaughters, Casey Flick and Kelly Flick; sister, Martha Potter (Jim) Scholl of Fairmont, Minn.; nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney, Wilma and Myrtle Moore; daughter, Suzanne Boyne; brother-in-law, Stanley Potter; and nephew, Patrick Potter.
