A thank you to Fairmont

To the Editor:

As some of you know, my family moved to Colorado Springs this past July.

Recently, I had the gift of reconnecting with some fabulous friends in the great community of Fairmont. After raising my family there for 14 years, I’m so grateful that God directed us to this “fair” city in southern Minnesota. We were so blessed to be linked with the schools, churches, businesses, medical community, law enforcement professionals and the ministry of Martin County Youth for Christ. The personality of Fairmont is one of friendship and partnership.

As the former executive director of Martin County YFC, I was always amazed and encouraged by the willingness of so many to come together to reach youth for Jesus Christ. We consistently saw Fairmont and the surrounding communities act as an advocate for kids. Our family has genuine gratitude for so many in the community who have invested in our lives as well.

We want to thank you for your friendship and we look forward to staying connected with Fairmont, a city that will forever hold a special place our lives.

Thanks for the memories.
