Howard Enderson

TRACY – Service for Howard Enderson, 91, of Tracy, owner of Enderson’s Clothing in Fairmont, was held Oct. 21 at Tracy Lutheran Church, Tracy. Interment was in the Tracy City Cemetery.

Enderson died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at Sanford-Sioux Valley Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy assisted the family with the arrangements.

Howard Raynard Enderson was born Nov. 25, 1921, in Terrill, Iowa, son of Norwegian immigrants, Hans and Gertrude (Swenson) Enderson. He served in the U.S. Navy on a submarine-hunting ship as a radar operator in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters until his honorable discharge on Feb. 21, 1946.

Survivors include: his wife, Mary Enderson of Tracy; two daughters, Amy Johnson of Plymouth, and Elen Vanderhoof of Lompoc, Calif.; sons, Mark Enderson of Eden Prairie, Kurt Enderson of Tracy, Neil Enderson of Tyler, and Lyle Enderson of Anoka; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
