Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ A. Clark
LEDYARD, Iowa – A Celebration of Life visitation for Jacqueline “Jackie” A. Clark, 68, of Ledyard, Iowa, will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, also at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont.
Jackie passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont.
Jacqueline Ann Eversman was born Oct. 8, 1945, in Fairmont, Minn., daughter of Arnold and Redella (Anders) Eversman. She grew up on the family farm near Fairmont and Jackie attended St. Paul’s Parochial School in Wilbert and then Ceylon High School. She graduated from Ceylon High School in 1963. After high school, Jackie worked at Fairmont Railway Motors and then the State Bank of Ceylon. Jackie was united in marriage to Jerry Clark on June 5, 1966, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fairmont. They made their home in Ledyard, Iowa, where they raised their three children. She worked at the Elmore Christian School in Elmore, Minn., for several years. Jackie was a Cub Scout leader and a bookkeeper for auctions as well as being a stay at home loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Jackie was very involved with her grandkids, which brought her great joy.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jerry Clark of Ledyard, Iowa; three children, Jason Clark of Ledyard, Iowa, Jesslyn Abbatiello of Chicago, Ill., and Jana Guerdet and her husband, David, of Armstrong, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bruce Eversman and his wife, Michelle, Jon Eversman and his wife, De Ann, and Jeffery Eversman and his wife, Debra, all of Fairmont, Minn.; sisters-in-law, Jo Eversman of St. Peter, Minn., and Vickie Howell and her husband, Larry of Spirit Lake, Iowa; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; one brother, Brian Eversman; and an infant granddaughter.
