SANBORN – A Memorial Mass for Rose Irlbeck, 71, of Sanborn will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Wanda with burial in the church cemetery.
Rose died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at Seasons Hospice in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield and will continue for one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. There will be a Parish prayer service 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Father Paul van DeCrommert, Celebrant. Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. Rose “Rosie” Marie Irlbeck was born Aug. 12, 1942, in Springfield, Minn., the daughter of Menno and Lorraine (Welsch) Elsing. She attended school in Clements and then Springfield. Rosie was united in marriage to Raymond Rothmeier on Sept. 9, 1958. She owned the Rainbow Cafe for a short time before working at St. John Lutheran Home. Rosie went back to school and became an LPN and worked in the nursing field for 25 years. She married Jerry Sellner on Jan. 16, 1989, and lived in Madison, Minn., for 14 years. Rosie was united in marriage to Ron Irlbeck on Aug. 25, 2007, and lived on a farm near Wanda, Minn. She was a member of St. Mathias Catholic Church in Wanda and enjoyed going to the lake, camping, fishing, bowling, jigsaw puzzles, gambling and cooking. Rosie especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by husband, Ron; children, Kim (Tom) Kleinwachter of Mentor, Minn., Mike (Ann) Rothmeier of Springfield, Rick (Jo) Rothmeier of Fairmont, Vicky (Matt) Krueger of Springfield, and Amy (Eric) Houchens of Germany; stepchildren, Tammy Sellner and friend, Mike of Sleepy Eye, Theresa Kent and friend, Jesse of Sanborn, Terrie (David) Frank of Wabasso, Vince (Dawn) Irlbeck of Sanborn, Annie (Andy) Gronhardt of Redwood Falls, Val (Joel) Wagner of Wabasso, Clint (Cheri) Irlbeck of Sanborn, and Emily (Ryan) Knudson of Janesville; grandchildren, Tabor, Anthony, Amy, Trista, Chris, Becky, Robert, Jeffrey, Chantelle, Nick, Amber Rose, Ryan, Annah, Sydney, and Dominique; 23 step-grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Menno and Lorraine; husbands, Raymond and Jerome; grandchild, Adam Kleinwachter; and a sister in infancy.
