Merle F. Lohse
MANKATO – Services for Merle F. Lohse, 82, of Mankato, formerly of Fox Lake, rural Welcome, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Kramer Family Funeral Home Chapel in Welcome. Burial will be in the Welcome City Cemetery.
Lohse died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato. Visitation will be from noon Wednesday until the time of the services at the funeral home in Welcome.
Merle Fredrick Lohse was born Nov. 15, 1930, in Fox Lake, son of George and Alvena Alice (Brensel) Lohse.
On Oct. 18, 1951 he served in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict until his honorable discharge on Sept. 23, 1953.
Survivors include: wife, Donna Mae Lohse of Mankato; daughters, Wendy Starrett of Eagle Lake and Holly Jones of Kalspill, Mt.; son, Scott Lohse of Mankato; six grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Cosmillo of Olathe, Kan. and Helen Klenz of Georgetown, Texas.
