Ronald Fred Bressler Sr.
WINNEBAGO – Mass of Christian burial for Ronald Fred Bressler Sr., 81, of Winnebago, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Winnebago, with Father Peter Schuster, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato.
Ronald died Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System, Fairmont. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

Ron was born Dec. 30, 1931, in Norwood, Minn., the son of Herman and Gertrude (Wolter) Bressler. He attended school in Henderson, Minn., and entered the U.S. Army on Sept. 9, 1952. He served in the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged on July 21, 1954. Ron was married to Colleen M. Keller on March 30, 1957, in Belle Plaine, Minn. He farmed in Henderson until 1971, when he moved to Winnebago. While he farmed in Henderson and later in Winnebago, he also worked at the Foundry in Le Sueur, Silica Sand in Kasota, Norstar Plastics in Winnebago, Electro Craft in Winnebago and Patten Roofing in Winnebago.
Ron is survived by his wife, Colleen Bressler of Winnebago; his daughter, Joanne (Kevin) Johnson of Maple Grove; his son, Ronald (Kirsten) Bressler, Jr. of Truman; his brother, Herman (Delores) Bressler of Le Sueur; his sisters, Lyla Smith of Henderson, Mavis (Rodger) Grimmelman of Le Sueur, and Glenda Effertz of Green Isle; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James John Bressler; brother, Glenn Bressler; and brothers-in-law, Bob Smith and Jack Effertz.
