Donald ‘Lars’ Larsen
WARNER SPRINGS, Calif. – Celebration of Life services for Donald “Lars” Larsen, 76, of Warner Springs, Calif., formerly of Fairmont, will be with family and friends on Saturday, July 27, in Cerritos, Calif.
Don passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013, after a lengthy illness.
Don was born July 29, 1936. He graduated from Fairmont High School in 1954 and Mankato State in 1958. In 1955, he was united in marriage to Janice Meyer of Fairmont. He taught school in Redwood Falls before moving to California in 1962 to teach. He ended his career as a high school administrator for the Orange County Department of Education. Don retired in 2000 and, after that, he and Janice moved to Warner Springs, where he dabbled in Internet trading, making jewelry and putzing.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; mother, Gladys; sons, Jeff, Mark and Todd; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; and brothers, Roger and Dennis.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
