Thanks to community

To the Editor:

It is difficult to express how grateful we are for the overwhelming support for Lori, Jordan and our whole family at the recent BeneParty. Never would we have imagined such a wonderful turnout. The positive atmosphere of the whole event is attributed to the enthusiasm and generosity of the BeneParty committee.

Many thanks to the businesses and individuals that graciously donated so many items for the auction. You came up with such clever ideas for creating appealing and valuable items.

Thanks to Tom Steffes and Erica Volkir for coordinating the auction and for the countless hours you put in to organizing it all. Thanks also to the bidders who helped to raise more than $10,000 just in auction items.

Thanks to Merle and Eileen Boesch for building the photo booth and even taking all the photos. That was so much fun, but I know it was a lot of work.

Thanks to Nancy Lobb for the beautiful display of quilts.

Thanks to the four vendors who donated a percentage of their profits from everything sold at the BeneParty.

Thanks to Toby Jensen, Sandy Morin Jensen and Linda Morin Wilson of “Relativity” for providing us with musical entertainment all evening.

Thanks to the individuals who made bars; Culligan and McDonald’s for beverages; and the KC hall bartenders for donating all their tips.

Thanks to the “On The Wall” gals who contributed so much of their decorating talents and gave so much of their time. You are like sisters to Lori and I, and I’m so lucky to have you as employees and friends.

Thanks to Meg Alexander from the Sentinel and Jeff Hagen from the Photo Press for all their wonderful publicity.

Most importantly, I want to thank the community for coming to the BeneParty. Our parents would be proud of how this little town of Fairmont is supporting Lori in her fight against cancer. She has a long road ahead of her, so please keep her in your prayers.
