Robert (Bob) Hanks
WINNEBAGO – A memorial service for Robert (Bob) Hanks, 76, of Winnebago, will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2013, at Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago, with Rev. Bob Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.
Robert passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at his home. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Spencer-Owen Funeral Home, 345 6th Ave. SE, Winnebago, and one hour prior to service Monday at the church.

He was born March 8, 1937, in Winnebago, the son of Harlan and Grace (Lair) Hanks. He graduated from Winnebago High School and the University of Minnesota School of Agriculture. On April 13, 1958, he married Yvonne Spore in Winnebago, Minn., at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior. Bob worked in construction, trucking, and farming, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed working with his hands, hunting, racing, flying, raising and showing livestock, and spending the winters in Florida.
He is survived by his spouse, Yvonne Hanks of Winnebago; his son, Brian Hanks of Winnebago; his daughter, Bonnie Hellman of Longwood, Fla., his brother, Marshall Hanks of Aurora; his sister, Shirley Leagjeld of Winnebago; and granddaughter, CharLeigh Hellman of Longwood, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and son-in-law, Jeff.
