HERBURN – A Celebration of Life service for Margaret Reiman, 97, of Sherburn, formerly of rural Ceylon, Minn., will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sherburn, Minn., with Rev. Steven D. Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Lake Belt Cemetery, rural Ceylon, Minn.
Margaret was called to her eternal rest on Wednesday morning, June 26, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont, Minn. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at the Kramer Family Funeral Home in Sherburn, Minn., and one hour prior to the service at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn on Saturday.

Margaret Martha Laue was born April 28, 1916, on the family farm in Tenhassen Township, Martin County, rural Ceylon, Minn., to Adolph and Wilhelmina (Tesnow) Laue. She was received into the kingdom of God through Holy Baptism on July 6, 1916, and later reaffirmed her faith at her confirmation on April 13, 1930, both at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert. Margaret received her education from District #47 in Silver Lake Township. On April 28, 1935, Margaret was united in marriage to Otto Reiman at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Dunnell, Minn. After their marriage, they farmed in Lake Belt Township and raised their seven children. Otto died on Oct. 19, 1997. She continued living on the farm just north of Ceylon. In 2003, Margaret became a resident of Temperance Lake Ridge Assisted Living in Sherburn. Margaret was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn and a former member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon. She enjoyed baking, cooking, embroidering, listening to old-time polka music, her flowers and working in her garden.
She will be greatly missed by her seven children: son, Kenneth (Lynette) Reiman of Fairmont, Minn., son, Darrell (Cynthia) Reiman of Prior Lake, Minn., daughter, Diann (Richard) Groenewold of Boise, Idaho, son, Marlin (Betty) Reiman of Maple Grove, Minn., daughter, Janice (Doug) Wegner of Sparta, Mo., son, Allen (Ronelva) Reiman of Des Moines, Iowa and son, Leon (Lori) Reiman of Houlton, Wis.; several grandchildren and step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; sister, Lillian Westphal of Fairmont, Minn.; sister-in-law, Irene Reiman of Ceylon, Minn.; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Otto Reiman; brothers, John, Adolph, Elmer, Fred, Dick, William and Clarence Laue; sisters, Dora Speckman and Luella Reiman; and other relatives.
