Alice M. Riggle
HUTCHINSON – Memorial services for Alice M. Riggle, 66, of Hutchinson, were held this past weekend in Hutchinson.
Alice passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013, at her home in Hutchinson.
Alice Marie Riggle was born Nov. 8, 1946, in Fairmont, Minn., the daughter of George and Hazel (Langford) Ziemer. Alice was baptized in 1965, at the Church of Christ in Truman, Minn. She received her education in Truman and was a graduate of the Truman High School Class of 1964. On Feb. 6, 1965, Alice was united in marriage to Howard Riggle at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Truman. This marriage was blessed with three children: Troy, Tracy and Terri. Alice and Howard resided in Truman and Wausau, Wis. They later moved to Hutchinson in January 1978. They shared 48 years of marriage. Alice was employed at the Truman Nursing Home, and the Tip Top Caf in Truman, the Sweet Shoppe in Fairmont, and Hutchinson Technology Inc. and MSI Insurance in Hutchinson. Alice was a member of the Hutchinson American Legion Auxiliary Post 96, where she held office of past president.
Alice enjoyed sewing, quilting, woodworking, reading and cross-stitching. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.

Alice is survived by her husband, Howard Riggle of Hutchinson; children, Troy Riggle of Hutchinson, Tracy Rowe of Cloquet and Terri Riggle of Warwick, R.I.; granddaughters, Kelsey and Taylor Rowe and Aubrey Riggle; great-grandson, Denzel Jackson Jr.; sisters, Julane Hansen of Fairmont, and Ardis Osborn and her husband, Larry of Granada; many other relatives and friends.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents, George and Hazel Ziemer; brothers, Marlin Ziemer, Eldon Ziemer, and Gary Ziemer; sister, Delores Schulz.
