DOLLIVER, Iowa – Funeral services for Edna Danielson, 88, of Dolliver, will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Armstrong, with Pastor Vance Toivonen, officiating. Interment will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery, Armstrong.
Edna passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Valley Vue Care Center in Armstrong. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel, Armstrong.
Edna M. Stamp was born June 21, 1924, in Carroll, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Hannah Stamp. She received her education in Carroll and Estherville, Iowa. On Jan. 21, 1942, Edna was united in marriage to Malvin Danielson. The couple spent their entire married life on the farm near Dolliver. Edna was the farm wife who helped Malvin and enjoyed the outdoors.
Reading was her passion, along with spending time with the family. She was a lifetime member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong. She was active in the Nazareth Lutheran Church Women’s group and served in all of the offices of the NLCW.
Edna is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Mae Berg of Thornton, Colo., and Melva Jane Ahrens and her husband Duane of Little Canada, Minn.; four granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother; two sisters; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
