Pearl A. Frick

ESTHERVILLE, Iowa – Funeral services for Pearl A. Frick, 87, formerly of Estherville, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville, with Pastor Glenn Wilson, officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul’s of South Walnut Cemetery, Graettinger, Iowa.

Pearl passed away Monday, April 29, 2013, at Valley Vue Care Center in Armstrong, Iowa. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to time of services Thursday at the funeral home.

Pearl A. Nissen was born Feb. 28, 1926, in Ruthven, Iowa, the daughter of John and Hannah (Hansen) Nissen. She received her education in the Ruthven Country schools. On Oct. 14, 1943, Pearl was united in marriage to Russell Frick in Graettinger, Iowa. After their marriage, the couple farmed for 40 years in the Graettinger, Wallingford, and Armstrong areas. The couple retired in 1985, and moved into Estherville. Russell passed away on Aug. 29, 1987. On Feb. 5, 1994, she was united in marriage to Don Weber. After their marriage, the couple lived in rural Bancroft, Iowa. Don died on Dec. 5, 2012. She was a member of the Burt Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon; S & L Neighborhood Club and the Iowa Great Lakes Road Riders.

Left to cherish Pearl’s memory are her children, Duane Frick of Estherville, Iowa, Dwight Frick of Monroe, Wis., Steve (Jan) Frick of Fairmont, Minn., Sally (Greg) Bratland of Salem, Ore., and Penny (Bruce) Guse of Ringsted, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Preceding Pearl in death are her parents; husbands; sister, Imogene; and brother, Arnold.
