Gerald D. Frank
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – Memorial services for Gerald D. “Gerry” Frank, 68, of Eau Claire, formerly of Sherburn, Minn., will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2013, at Park Tower’s in Eau Claire.
Gerry passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013, at his home in Eau Claire.
Gerald Dean Frank was born Aug. 14, 1944, in Estherville, Iowa, son of Francis and Helen (Handeland) Frank. Gerry graduated from Ceylon High School in May 1962. He married Shirley Olson on Sept. 8, 1962. They spent many years in the Twin Cities area where they had three children: Curt, Steve and Lana. In 1977, they moved the family to rural Sherburn, where they built their own home. Gerry worked various jobs over the years, including hanging Lemke awnings. He and Shirley divorced in 1998. After that, he went to work for Griese Construction of Eau Claire, Wis. He later retired from this job and decided to stay in Eau Claire. He enjoyed playing cribbage, watching westerns and spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his memory are: sons, Curtis Frank and Steven Frank; daughter, Lana (Dale) Jurs; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brothers, Wayne (Judy) Frank and David Frank.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
