Yvonne ‘Bonnie’ Endersbe

FAIRMONT – Memorial services for Yvonne “Bonnie” Endersbe, 94, of Fairmont, Minn., will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Lakeview Funeral Home Chapel in Fairmont, with inurnment in Lakeside Cemetery, Fairmont.

Bonnie passed away Wednesday morning, April 17, 2013, at Goldfinch Estates in Fairmont. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at Lakeview Funeral Home on Saturday.

Memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont.

G. Yvonne “Bonnie” (Hagen) Endersbe was born Oct. 18, 1918, in Minneapolis, Minn., to John and Emma Kainz. She was the adopted daughter of Peter and Minnie (Johnson) Hagen. She attended school in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School. On Dec. 3, 1939, Bonnie was united in marriage to Frank Endersbe at the Vinge Lutheran Church in Willmar, Minn. This union was blessed with three children:?Greg, Gary and Beth. Bonnie and Frank resided in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and then Mankato, Minn. When Frank enlisted in the Air Force, he and Bonnie were stationed in Salt Lake City, Utah. They would later move to Willmar, Minn., and then Worthington, Minn., before moving to Fairmont, Minn., in 1949. In 1958, Bonnie and Frank moved to Longview, Wash., and then to Litchfield, Minn., where they owned the radio station. Bonnie and Frank then moved to New Ulm, Minn., before returning to Fairmont. Frank and Bonnie shared 44 years together before Frank passed away on March 12, 1984. Bonnie was employed as a telephone operator in Willmar and later in Fairmont for Centel before her retirement in 1981. She and Frank owned the “Pirates Den” in the FairMall until Frank passed away in 1984. Bonnie was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont where she was on the Funeral Committee as well as the Wednesday Night Supper Committee and Woman’s Bible Study. Bonnie was also a member of the Fairmont Community Hospital Auxiliary, coffee and gift shop volunteer, co-chair of the American Cancer Society fundraising drive, and volunteering at the Blood Bank. During her free time, Bonnie enjoyed her Bridge Club and Birthday Club, golfing, gardening and playing cards. She most loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren and watching their activities.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Greg Endersbe and his wife, Sharon, of Pequot Lakes, Minn., and Gary Endersbe and his wife, Mary Ann, of North Mankato, Minn.; daughter, Beth Riedberger and her husband, Greg, of Frazee, Minn.; eight grandchildren, Danny (Shirley) Otterstrom, Kevin (Candi) Otterstrom, Amber (James) Van Lieu, David (Cheryl) Endersbe, Michael Endersbe, Nick (Cortney) Hagedorn, Anna (Josh) Muzik, and Alex Hagedorn; 14 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Hazel Endersbe; two nieces; and many cousins, other relatives and friends.

Along with her parents, Peter and Minnie Hagen, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Endersbe; grandson, Chris Endersbe; and sisters, Marie Becker, and Sister Martina Kainz.
