CASS LAKE – Funeral services for Lloyd Henry Batterman, 83, of Cass Lake, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cass Lake with Rev. Allan Wierschke officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Lloyd passed away Feb. 24, 2013, at Sanford Bemidji Hospice.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

He was born Aug. 10, 1929, in Fairmont, Minn., son of Albert (Ollie) Batterman and Alice (Krumholtz) Batterman. Upon graduation from Fairmont High School, he began working for the Martin County Highway Department until he entered the U.S. Army Engineer Corps, serving in the Korean War. After discharge from service, he returned to the Martin County Highway Department, retiring in 1984. Upon retirement, he worked part-time at Stony Point Resort in Cass Lake, Minn., keeping a residence in both Fairmont and Cass Lake. In 2006, he moved to Cass Lake. His leisure time was spent hunting, fishing and camping in the Boundary Waters with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Albert (Swede); sister, Marge Peters; and special cousins LeRoy Jones and Florence Harrington.
He is survived by brothers, Paul (Nancy) Batterman of Grand Rapids, Minn., Allan (Rick) (Sharon) Batterman of Makinen, Minn.; sisters, Connie Worden-Roberts of Santa Clarita, Calif., Joyce (Deanne) Heller of St. Louis Park, Minn., Kay (Delbert) Gangelhoff of Cass Lake, Minn., Claudia (Nelse) Grundvig of Madison, Wis.; sister-in law, Sharon Batterman of Glendive, Mont.; special niece and nephew, Karen and Jim Bowley; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
