Drive surpasses goal

To the Editor:

The February bloodmobile in Fairmont exceeded its goal. Thanks to all the faithful donors who took the time and effort to make this happen. The results are as follows:

o Feb. 12 – 116 units on a goal of 118.

o Feb. 13 – 123 units on a goal of 120.

o Feb. 14 – 65 units on a goal of 59.

Eileen Morrow received her 12-gallon pin while Gloria Leiding received her 11-gallon pin. Ten-gallon pins were awarded to Sheila Rosenberg and Edward Bremer. Grace Haeckel received her 8-gallon pin, while Brenda Henry and Doris Diel received their 7- and 5-gallon pins, respectively.

Thanks to all the volunteers, especially Bev Villeneuve and her canteen staff. Presentation College, with the aid of Toni Shantz, provided many student volunteers. Thanks to John McDonald and Kyle Redenius and the Sentence to Serve troops for their fine help with the cause.

We extend our sincere thanks to the entire staff at Holiday Inn-Green Mill for their help and for the use of their fine facility.
