Pauline A. Smith
FAIRMONT – Inurnment for Pauline A. Smith, 68, of Statesville, N.C., formerly of Fairmont, will be this spring in Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont.
Pauline passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at her residence in North Carolina.
A memorial visitation will be held 3-6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont.
Pauline Annette Smith was born on a farm near Northrop, Minn., daughter of Edward and Ivadell (Miller) Smith. She grew up in Fairmont, where she attended school. She lived near Dolliver, Iowa, before moving to Milwaukee, Wis., in 1968. In 1973, she moved to Colorado and, in 1985, she moved to Texas. In Texas, she was employed at a growing manufacturing company as the controller and corporate secretary. In 1992, Pauline moved to North Carolina, where she was currently the financial secretary for the First Baptist Church and a partner in Cold Springs Mulch and Stone Company.
She loved to fish, read and be outdoors.
She is survived by special friend and partner, Allen Sharpe of Stateville, N.C.; two brothers, Dennis Smith and his wife Sally, and Minton Smith and his wife Carolina, all of Fairmont, Minn.; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two infant children, Timmy Lee Rezac and Laurie Lynn Rezac.
