Warriors split doubleheader with Bulldogs
ARMSTRONG – North Union guard Cheyanne Boland delivered a game-high 21 points to help the Warriors edge the Lake Mills Bulldogs, 49-45, during nonconference basketball action Tuesday night in Armstrong.
Madison Bollig generated six points and six rebounds for North Union, while Sarah Rolling contributed six points to the winning effort.
Dena Looft grabbed seven rebounds and made three steals for the Warriors, while Aurora Oliver supplied four rebounds.
The Warriors connected on 7 of 32 shots from 2-point range, 4 of 6 from behind the 3-point arc and 23 of 37 at the free throw line.
North Union (14-7) tips off the Iowa Class 2A, Region 1 quarterfinals by hosting the winner between Emmetsburg and Pocahontas at 7 p.m. next Tuesday in Armstrong.

Shane Mills produced 10 points, six rebounds and three assists for North Union, while Aric Runge contributed eight points and five boards.
Jacob Braddock netted seven points for the Warriors, while Colton McConnell chipped in five points.
The Warriors made 13 of 30 shots from 2-point distance, 2 of 12 behind the bonus arc and 5 of 15 at the line.
