Redwood Valley slips by Fairmont

REDWOOD FALLS – Chris Hallden scored a hat trick, including the game-winning goal, to help the Redwood Valley Cardinals to a 4-3 victory over the Fairmont Area Cardinal boys hockey team on Saturday in Redwood Falls.

Hallden was the hero for the hometown team, scoring just 37 seconds into overtime on a Logan Sandgren pass to break the 3-3 tie.

Becker scored an unassisted, shorthanded goal 16 seconds into Redwood Valley’s first power play at 2:14 in the first period to give the visiting Cardinals a 1-0 lead.
